ND Winter Meeting Agenda

Call to Order:  7:00 p.m.

Welcome/ Identification of Members present:

Craig Krueger, Chad Pavlick, Rick Duncan, Bruce Krueger, Susan Krueger, Chris Smith, Jerod Roberts, Sherri Hale, Jason Dokken, Jeff Haller

Approval of Minutes from Fall Meeting:

Discussion of the optional 1-run format for the J-5’s.
Duncan moves to approve Fall minutes Chris Smith 2nds. Fall minutes approved.

Old Business:

• Report of President:  Loss of some J1-J3’s due to attrition, but numbers still good.  ~150 YSL kids, down from ~160. Approx.  15% decrease.
• Program Status – clubs report on their current overall program status:
  • Blacktail approx. 25 total, 3 USSA racers
  • Showdown:  no representative present
  • FVSEF:  6 kids in the academy program
  • All other programs:  Overall the J4-5-6 numbers remain steady.  The attrition at the J3-2-1 groups continues.
• ACC overview –Roger Bay:
  • Good attendance at the Big Sky official’s clinic.  Approved course-setters list has been updated.
  • Policy and rules updates
  • WEST Team and camp reports up to date at regional and NDS levels
  • WR athlete tracking program - Physical Assessments mostly complete
  • Divisional Wax purchases are within budget.
  • Calendar Changes, ND website is current
• Officials’ Chair Report – Mike “Spud” Kelly:
• Coaches & Officials Clinic Reports.  Level 100 and 200 coaches clinics completed.
• USSA Website Official Levels Update should be updated soon.
• Homologations:  Inspections are done, reports are currently in committee at USSA and awaiting formal approval.  Duration:  6 years for technical venues, 4 years for speed.
• Northern Division Manager – Sherri Hale - Financial Overview:
•  We are paid up to USSA, and our budget is on track.
• Travel Issues:
  • Season report to date –(invoicing & reconciliation)
  • IRS Mileage Reimbursement/Coaches Per Diem
• ND Board:
• • Sponsorship/Fundraising for Qualifiers.  We could increase our participation and recruitment if we had some parents willing to spearhead a grant writing/fundraising project.
• Goals and Tentative Schedule for Spring Meeting:
• • Tentative date of June 13, ACC June 12, Missoula.

New Business:

• Northern Division Forms
• Jeff Pickering represents USSA in urging the ND to make every effort to bring the Doug Smith NorAm back to Whitefish Mountain.
• New Treasurer:  Rick Haller is now serving as the new treasurer.
