Red Lodge Summer Race Camp

This camp is not a ND Camp. This was put together at the request of families from outside of the division. However, it is available to ND families who are unable to take part in the ND camp.
The YC Summer Race Camp at Red Lodge is designed to be an intensive, skills-based Alpine program blending on-snow training activities
with local off-snow recreational opportunities. Focus will be on developing a solid technical and tactical base in a fun and positive environment and on enjoying activities that showcase Montana.
Training programs will be individualized to meet the needs and goals of each athlete and will be in accordance with USSA development
principles. On-snow training will
consist of a blend of focused free-skiing, drills, drill courses, and gate training. Off-snow activities will
combine training principles, conditioning, and fun.
All ages, levels, and abilities are encouraged to
participate. Here is a more detailed description of the program in Word format, but the main points are summarized below.
ATHLETE RATIOS:
Athlete to coach ratios will not exceed 12:1. The glacier is not large or heavily
trafficked. Athletes will be under constant supervision and receive appropriate feedback on hill. Athletes will be supervised for off-snow activities.
